About Barbara
I have experience only with private lessons. I try to prepare them to have a fluent conversation in the language and to feel safe and calm, both in conversation and in listening and writing. I only had 1 student who wanted to take the IELTS language proficiency test to gain a place in a university in the UK and I was happy to see that he reached the required score and won the spot.

I graduated in Cinema from the Federal University of Pernambuco, I took an undergraduate course to the UK and studied for 1 year at the University of Roehampton in London. Before that, I studied for 1 month at an English school in Cambridge, UK. I have a Cambridge certificate and IELTS proficiency. My classes start with studying grammar, then reading and understanding texts, expanding vocabulary and, in the end, we will have a relaxed conversation in English from what we read, listen to or watch, because I like to take songs and excerpts from movies for lessons. The writing will also be worked from movies, images or articles that I send as homework, I ask you to write something about the film, music, image ... and the next class, I like to talk about the interactive material in English. I ask for suggestions of what interests the student more, I believe that this is the best way to learn another language, being interested not only in the language, but in the content. And I want it to be something pleasant, I want the student to learn English as if he were learning Portuguese, in a fluid, quiet and fun way.
