About Owen
As an experienced ESL tutor with a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature, I am passionate about helping students achieve fluency, comprehension, and confidence in English. I have taught learners of all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced, and from a variety of cultural backgrounds. My lessons cover speaking, listening, reading, and writing while strengthening grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation in practical contexts. My ESL lessons are structured to enhance all four language skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Each lesson begins with a review of previous material to consolidate learning. Vocabulary is introduced through conversation, texts, and exercises. Grammar is explained in simple, practical terms and practised actively. Listening exercises use recordings, videos, and dialogues for comprehension practice. Speaking activities include role-play, discussions, and pronunciation drills to build confidence. Reading comprehension is strengthened through articles, short stories, and dialogues.
Writing practice focuses on sentence structure, paragraphs, and short essays. Real-life examples are incorporated to make learning relevant. Lessons are interactive and encourage student participation. Homework is provided to reinforce new skills. Feedback is given regularly to track progress and improvement.
