About Tia

Five years of guiding voices through complex transformations defines my practice. I teach people who learn fast and people who need the scenic route. My work often centers on those rebuilding technique after medical intervention, keeping me in close contact with SLPs to ensure safety.

Breath control, pitch accuracy, and sight singing are the tools I use to bridge the gap between injury and performance. The parts of singing I once found impossible are now the parts I most enjoy teaching. I prefer hearing a wrong note sung with conviction over a silent, correct one.

Vocal health sits at the core of every moment we spend together in the studio. A student might arrive struggling with stage fear, so we prioritize the physical foundations of breathing before attempting any complex phrasing.

Abandoning the script to follow a better, more immediate path is a standard part of my pedagogical process. Eight years of practice and study inform how I manage exam preparation or technical vocal blocks. These sessions remain unscripted to ensure I respond to your specific needs in real time. Homework vocal drills are assigned after every session to maintain your progress.
