About Olivia
A graduating student at the University of California Davis, the student experience is familiar—to say the least. I have tutored for over two years in several disciplines of math, science, and English. From youth to adults, I try to cultivate an engaging and encouraging learning environment. I want to motivate learning and boost confidence beyond the classroom—or computer screen. I know learning and/or school can be difficult, jaded, or just unappealing, however, I hope to upend even slight ennui with an open, friendly learning experience. I look forward to meeting your needs, wherever that is, in your learning journey!

I have a comprehensive understanding and learning approach to several areas of English. My lessons are customized to the learning levels of elementary to college students.
As a student myself, I try to integrate my experiences and personal methodologies into my teaching. That being said, the learning process is deeply personal and necessitates an individualized approach for every student. I find an intersection between scientifically backed techniques and the student's individual preferences.
A typical lesson plan first consists of going through the student's goals and areas for improvement. I look forward to individually going through problems and breaking down the thought process in ways that best fit the student. We will work towards the solution, but will also utilize accessible resources and services that extend beyond a tutoring session. I aim to give tools for all areas of learning.
I believe any trials and tribulations of learning can be championed with enthusiasm and success.
