About Valerie
English: I am the child of a former international school English teacher and have therefore been teaching ESL/ESOL students for 5 years. I specialize in English writing of all styles and have a standard teaching plan for all my students. I assign students homework (if requested) and emphasize clear communication on what the parents and students hope to achieve through my lessons. I have been awarded various accolades for English writing that can be provided upon request.
Biology: I am a current biological sciences undergraduate student. I am clear on all the major concepts of biology, and emphasize on making the process of learning as fun for students as possible.
Maths and Mandarin: I was raised in mainland China and therefore have a solid base in both Maths and Mandarin.

I am a current undergraduate student giving lessons in English, Mandarin, Biology, and Maths.
English: I give lessons to ESL/ESOL students of all ages, previous students having ranged from primary school to undergraduate ages. Lesson structure changes based on student needs and goals, which will be discussed in detail with the student and parents (if applicable). I strive to be an engaging and entertaining tutor; however, I still require that students put in work to make progress observable.
English writing lessons are given to non-native and native students of all ages up until secondary school level.
Biology: I am a current biological sciences undergraduate student. I have a strong working knowledge of Biology and am able to tutor students up to the secondary school level.
Maths and Mandarin: Students should expect a more relaxed class structure with class targets being changed on the basis of individual need.
