About Jo
With over 20 years of experience in education, coaching, and tutoring, I am passionate about helping learners build confidence, achieve their goals, and enjoy the learning process. I hold a PGCE, a BA (Hons) in English Literature and Drama, and a Diploma in Life and Business Coaching Skills.
I teach English, Business Studies, Business English, Functional Skills, Study Skills, and employability-related subjects. My students range from secondary school pupils and college learners to university students and working professionals.
My lessons are tailored to the individual and combine effective teaching strategies with coaching techniques to develop confidence, motivation, organisation, and independent learning skills. I have extensive experience supporting learners with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and other additional learning needs.
Having taught in the UK and internationally, I understand that every learner is different. I provide a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, taking risks, and developing their abilities at their own pace.
Whether you need support with exams, coursework, business concepts, English communication, or confidence building, I will work with you to create a learning programme that helps you succeed.
