About Michael
I graduated in Law from Cambridge in 2022 with a Double First Class Degree. From there, I taught a variety of subjects at GCSE and A-Level in schools, as well as consulting on Oxbridge applications, interviews and LNAT. I teach using a "consistent improvement" approach - there is always a way to improve, and this is the model that was taught to me during my time at Cambridge. Since leaving Cambridge, I appear before judges in family courts across the country representing applicants and respondents, but having enjoyed and succeeded in my own law degree, I wish to continue to tutor the subject privately. I have vast experience in teaching the Cambridge law tripos, as well as many other universities, including law at Oxford, LSE and Nottingham (and others). I can assist with understanding the content, providing cases, supporting with further reading/articles, and writing essays/answers to problem questions.

Many universities teach law in the wrong way: memorise rules and regurgitate them. The problem with this is that you can’t get a first class mark with this approach, and you can’t succeed in future training contract/pupillage applications with it, either. Law at undergraduate level is analytical and all based on precise, evidenced evaluation. This being said, if you are reaching out for SQE tutoring, the approach is different. I can adapt to either approach, having achieved a double first at Cambridge and a grade 1 (highest quintile) at SQE just through self-studying (not a preparatory course).
