About Chelsea
I'm a CELTA-certified English teacher with over ten years of classroom experience, including teaching at ILA Vietnam, one of the country's largest English language networks, where I was the first teacher to teach C2 level students and created materials adopted across all of their centers nationwide. I have a particular specialization in IELTS and Cambridge exam preparation, and I bring a background in UX/UI design that shapes how I structure lessons to be clear and effective. I take my students' progress seriously and pride myself on being reliable, well-prepared, and genuinely invested in helping you reach your goals.

My teaching approach is student-centred, which means every lesson is built around your goals, your level, and your interests rather than a fixed curriculum. I like to guide students toward answers through questions rather than simply giving them away, because working things out for yourself is what makes new language stick. My classroom is a judgement-free space where you're encouraged to speak freely, make mistakes, and learn from them, and many of my students say our lessons feel more like a conversation with a friend than a formal class.
A typical lesson starts with a quick warm-up to ease into English and check in on anything from the previous session, followed by the main focus of the day, whether that's grammar, conversation practice, exam technique, or pronunciation. We finish with a recap and a clear idea of what to work on before next time.
What sets me apart is my specialism in IELTS and Cambridge exam preparation, paired with a background in UX/UI design that shapes how clearly and effectively I structure lessons. My lessons are for intermediate to advanced students, B1 level and above, including those preparing for IELTS or Cambridge exams.
