About Jasper

I am a Certified Paralegal with over eight years of experience supporting City, State, and Federal law enforcement and government agencies, including service connected to the U.S. Marshals Service. My academic interests focus on law, public policy, government, and international affairs, with ongoing studies that bridge legal theory and practical application.

My goal as a tutor is to help students move beyond memorizing legal terms and instead develop a genuine understanding of how laws are created, interpreted, and applied. I teach students how to analyze cases, evaluate evidence, understand legal reasoning, and build strong research and writing skills.

What sets me apart is my combination of professional experience and academic study. Having worked within law enforcement, government, legal environments, and now running my own legal and policy research service, I can connect classroom concepts to real-world legal systems and public institutions. Whether discussing administrative, civil, public, or international law, I strive to make difficult subjects accessible, engaging, and relevant.

About the lesson

As a Certified Paralegal with over eight years of experience supporting City and State Police Departments, and most recently in federal service with the U.S. Marshals, I've seen firsthand how legal principles operate beyond the classroom.

My lessons focus on helping students understand the reasoning behind legal concepts, judicial decisions, and governmental processes. Instead of relying solely on textbooks, I connect legal theory to case law, policy issues, and current events. Students learn how to read critically, analyze legal arguments, interpret statutes, and develop persuasive written and oral reasoning.

Lessons involve reviewing key concepts, discussing relevant cases or legal developments, breaking down complex legal doctrines into understandable components, and applying those principles through guided analysis and discussion.

What sets me apart is my combination of academic knowledge and practical experience. I bring perspectives from law enforcement (Narcotics Analyst, Sr. Records Tech, Criminal Statistics), government service (Records Examiner), legal administration, and legal research (Terrell Research Studio), allowing students to see how laws function in practice as well as in theory.

Lessons are ideal for high school students, undergraduates, pre-law students, paralegal students, and adult learners seeking support in public law, civil law, administrative law, international law, legal research, legal writing, and government studies.

Above all, my goal is to build confidence. I want students to leave each lesson with a stronger understanding of the law, sharper analytical skills, and the ability to think like a legal professional.
