About Leonard
I am a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and practicing engineering project manager holding a Master’s degree in Engineering Entrepreneurship and Innovation from McMaster University and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering.
With over five years of professional experience, my background spans industrial automation, specialized facility and laboratory installations, workplace restructuring, and enterprise-level project execution.
I have mentored and trained engineering students, early-career project professionals, corporate peers, and cross-functional project teams.
My background combines hands-on engineering principles with formal project management frameworks, including schedule and cost control, risk assessment, stakeholder governance, vendor coordination, and executive-level reporting.
My coaching philosophy is grounded in a practical principle: project management methodologies should not be studied in an academic vacuum; they must directly reflect operational reality.
A project cannot be managed effectively by treating schedules, scope, risk, budgets, and stakeholder dynamics as isolated concepts. I guide students and professionals to understand how these elements interlink, how to approach ambiguous situational problems with the PMI mindset, how to select and interpret management tools, and how to make defensible decisions under real-world constraints.
My expertise includes:
* Project management fundamentals, PMP and CAPM exam preparation, and situational mindset mastery
* Scope planning, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), milestone tracking, and schedule optimization
* Risk management, mitigation strategies, change management, and issue escalation
* Stakeholder engagement, communication planning, vendor coordination, and team alignment
* Industrial and engineering workflow planning, facility setups, and technical logistics
* MS Project, advanced Microsoft Excel (dashboards, slicers, pivot tables, VBA modeling), ClickUp, and project performance reporting
* PMI application audits, experience documentation, and exam readiness assessments
Guidance is tailored entirely to your current knowledge level, background, and career goals. Whether you are an engineer moving into project leadership, preparing for your PMP examination, auditing your PMI experience submission, or seeking structured feedback on project management coursework, our sessions provide targeted, actionable support.
My goal is to help you build systematic, independent problem-solving capabilities. You should complete each interaction with a clear understanding of which framework applies, why it is appropriate, and how to execute it confidently in both exam scenarios and workplace environments.

To ensure we make the most of our time, please reach out with a quick overview of where you stand: your technical or professional background, your target timeline, and the specific hurdles you are facing right now.
* Are you aiming to clear the PMP exam and struggling with the situational PMI mindset?
* Do you need an audit of your project descriptions before submitting your official PMI application?
* Are you looking for asynchronous, deep-dive feedback on tricky mock exam questions or practice test scores?
After reviewing your objectives, I will outline a straightforward, targeted roadmap designed around your schedule.
Support typically focuses on:
* PMP situational breakdown: Decoding ambiguous question stems and eliminating high-probability distractors.
* PMI application reviews: Structuring your past deliverables and scope experience to meet strict certification criteria.
* Practical tooling & tracking: Setting up executive dashboards, WBS schedules, and project controls in MS Project or advanced Excel (VBA/Pivot tables).
* Asynchronous Q&A: Detailed, written breakdowns of difficult concepts and mock test results whenever you need them.
The priority is simple: deliver high-impact, actionable guidance that cuts out study fluff and gets you certified efficiently.
