About Jennifer
Discover the benefits of yoga with Jennifer, Certified Yoga & Fitness Instructor. My passion is to create gentle yoga, fitness, and meditation programs that reduce pain and aid with regeneration. When its treated right, the body has limitless potential to rejuvenate. I’ve been teaching fitness and gentle yoga to beginners & experts for over 25 years. I’ve helped hundreds of clients learn gentle stretches and exercises that are appropriate for their needs. I am a Certified Yoga Teacher (200-hr, GaiaTri), Certified Fitness Instructor (AFLCA), Certified Pilates Instructor (Spencer), former yoga studio owner, and personal trainer.
I draw from 25 years experience teaching movement. I have trained with dancers, sports scientists, kinesiologists, physiotherapists, and personal trainers to expand my knowledge of the best techniques for safe, healthy, and effective form and body movement.
I have worked with thousands of distinct bodies including people with arthritis, bone spurs, MS, knee replacements, hip replacements, bursitis, tendonitis, metal plates, rods in the spine, visual impairments, fibromyalgia, overused muscles, and more. Adults of all ages from 18 to 92.
I worked for the MS Society of Canada, Calgary Chapter teaching yoga and fitness programs for people with Multiple Sclerosis.
My unique breathing method for reducing pain, called The Release Method, is for anyone – even those with limited mobility. It is a natural, medication-free way of reducing chronic pain.

I offer online programs, one-to-one locally or via Skype, and teach live workshops and classes. People who take my programs know they can come and do the exercises and sequences even if they are recovering from a heart attack, have a pace maker, an artificial hip, have weak wrists, bad knees, are overweight, haven’t exercised for years, are 93, have a bad back from 30 years of driving a forklift, and they won’t get pushed beyond their limits.
The benefits of yoga can be enjoyed by people of any age or ability who want to stay active, mobile, and independent. Its for anyone who wants to reduce pain and enjoy life.
If you are new to yoga, meditation, and exercise or have been sedentary, you will still find programs here that are achievable and painless. If you want to stay active but strains and sprains don’t heal as quickly as they used to, this yoga will help.
