About Zoe

I have been in the finance industry for over five years. In this time I have obtained both my AAT and my ACA qualifications, whilst working in practice. I qualified in 2024, with first-time passes in my exams at a top 5 firm. I have worked in a mixture of accounts prep, audit, industry; but throughout each of my different jobs the side I enjoyed most was the tutoring side. It gave me a lot of job satisfaction, and I was considering becoming a full-time tutor after qualification before another opportunity came my way. I found my exams a fairly isolating process, as I didn't have the opportunity to talk to anyone else who had done the exams recently how to pass the exams, what to focus on. My college taught my cohort exam technique during our revision stage, but having this information sooner would have boosted my confidence a lot. Having gone through college, self-study, and online learning, I know the pitfalls in each, and hope I can fill that gap.

About the lesson

I tutor as a part-time occupation outside my day job, where I am an Accounts Manager at a Top 30 group. Having been through the ACA exams, I understand how taxing and brutal they can be, and wish to help anyone going through the same process. I can offer a lesson on a specific topic, or a general approach to a specific exam. I can also offer a mixture of focus on either exam technique, or the technical accounting treatments.
