About Colin

I have been playing piano since I was five years old. I started taking official lessons when I was eight and did so until this year when I turned 18. I just moved to London and decided to share my life interest with people through piano lessons online!

I've been teaching friends and family piano since I first started getting the hang of it at about eleven years old. I love teaching people and I love seeing progress, that's why I'm now turning my knowledge into more professional lessons for both children and adults.

About the lesson

I will be using a lighthearted but effective method of teaching. I will base it on how I was taught classical piano but try to make it as fun and enjoyable as possible.

My focus will be helping beginner pianists get started with the first steps that can often feel very challenging. For example reading sheet-music, playing two-handed and keeping track of rhythm. This course aims to make you be able to play your favourite songs without including too much complicated musical theory that isn't at all necessary to be a hobby pianist or even playing complicated pieces.

My belief is that anyone can learn to play piano, and I think everyone should!
