About Lacy

Hello! My name is Lacy, and I am a certified teacher based in NYC. I learned piano at an early age and have been playing for over 20 years. I was trained classically with a private teacher and performed in many recitals and competitions. I am very passionate about music, and I love helping others to discover their own talent!

As a certified English teacher with 5 years of teaching experience, I bring my knowledge of teaching into my piano lessons. With a strong background in music theory and performance, I create and deliver effective lessons for beginners of all ages to learn the piano.

About the lesson

I'm very patient, kind and compassionate. I am able to simplify the concepts of piano and music theory in order for all students to understand easily. In my lessons I cover all the basics of piano such as:

-piano technique
-sight-reading
-rhythm and dynamics
-music theory
-how to play your favorite pieces

It's a very rewarding experience for me to help you accomplish your dreams of playing the piano. I'm looking forward to meeting you!

I've known Lacy for a few years now, and one thing that has always been evident has been her passion for music! Having had beginner piano lessons with her, I can assure you that this passion will shine through in your learning time together. Lacy is professional & personable; there is no doubt about her investment in your progress as she takes the time to plan lessons based on your needs & goals, moves at a pace that feels comfortable but constructive, and encourages you every step of the way. Plus, her lessons are fun! You can really tell that this is an instrument she loves and loves sharing. I look forward to my future lessons with her & you will too!
