About Tamara
I have been giving lessons for almost two years now and the amount of students were between two to four children. I pay close attention when teaching Spanish and ESL students as well, I first identify the areas in which the student are having difficulties and focus on grammatical and verbal lessons that facilitate for students. The students I have taught throughout the two years have receive high improvements in reading/writing in their target language (Spanish or English), pronouncing and recognizing words at their reading level, reading long passages with full understanding of them and involve songs and firms in both languages.

My name is Tamara Hernandez and I am attending Montclair State University. I will be graduating with a bachelors in Spanish with a concentration in translation. The classes and experiences I gain throughout college will allow me to guide young students and ESL students in facilitating the learning of the target language (Spanish/English), grammatically and verbally. I am native speaker of the language which will allow me to help students in their academic readiness and success inside a classroom. Also, I believe culture plays an important role when learning Spanish and one of methods is to maintaining the home language when a second language is being learned outside the home. I also provide fun and interactive language-learning environments such as music and films in both languages, and promote reading and storytelling in both languages. I have positive attitude towards every child and have strong communication skills with students and parents.
