About Rebekah
I have 8 years of teaching experience in grades K-12. I have a Bachelor's in TESOL and a Master's in Applied Linguistics. I love learning about different languages and cultures. I approach teaching with enthusiasm and empathy and strive to help my students achieve their goals! Outside of teaching, I love singing, being active, and spending time with my family and my dog!

I focus on English language learning across all modalities: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. I work on both conversational and academic language through various listening and speaking tasks. I also use the Science of Reading to teach literacy. The Science of Reading focuses on phonics and English morphology. I supplement this with close reading passages that focus on reading comprehension and structured writing tasks.
