About Catherine
My name is Cat. I’m a native English speaker from Florida in the United States, and I’ve been teaching English since 2021. Before English, and still now, I have taught music lessons—in piano, guitar, ukulele, and orchestral strings—since 2015. The majority of my students are from Spain or are Spanish speakers. I am a language student too—currently, I’m pursuing my DELE exam for a C1 level certification in Spanish! Besides Spanish, I also know some French, German, and Japanese. Due to my music studies in opera, I’m also familiar with Italian (but have a horrible accent). Language has been a great way to connect with people for me, and I hope to inspire and assist others as they acquire theirs!

Hi! My name is Cat. Some things about my classes: Individual approach - identify your goals (whether completing a language exam, getting better grades/marks in class, confidence speaking or writing, obtaining general fluency), set manageable milestones and find methods that work for you Specialize in Latin learners - whether you are ludo-, franco–, italo-, hispano- or another Latin speaker, I specialize in and have taught to students of Romance languages and am familiar with common grammar and vocabulary challenges! Contemporary approach - combine proven learning methods with current events, memes, games/movies, and conversational topics that are relevant to you Open to adult learners, and children ages 10 and above.
