About Homi
I am a dedicated ESL tutor with 8 years of experience teaching High School and College students, and I have successfully helped around 150–200 learners improve their English skills. My teaching philosophy focuses on creating a supportive, engaging, and structured learning environment where students feel confident to learn and grow.
I believe that every student has the ability to succeed when lessons are clear and practical. I use simple explanations, real-life examples, and interactive exercises to make learning easy and effective. I focus on developing strong communication skills, especially speaking and writing, while also improving grammar and vocabulary.
I adapt my teaching methods to suit each student’s needs and learning pace. One of my proudest achievements is seeing students gain confidence, improve their academic performance, and communicate effectively in real-life situations. I am committed to helping students achieve lasting success.

My teaching methodology for ESL is centred around creativity, critical thinking, mentorship, and accountability. I believe that students learn best when they are actively involved, so I design lessons that are interactive and meaningful. I use creative tools like storytelling, role-play, real-life conversations, and problem-solving tasks to make learning enjoyable and effective.
Critical thinking is an important part of my teaching. I encourage students to ask questions, think deeply, and express their ideas clearly. This helps them go beyond basic language learning and become confident communicators.
As a mentor, I provide continuous guidance and support. I build a strong connection with my students so they feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and challenges. I adjust my teaching methods based on their pace and learning style, ensuring that every student gets the attention they need.
I also emphasise accountability by helping students set realistic goals and stay committed to their learning journey. I monitor their progress and provide regular feedback to help them improve step by step.
Besides ESL, I can also teach relevant subjects, which allows students to strengthen both their language and academic skills. My aim is to create a positive learning experience and help students succeed with confidence.
