About Mira
I have 9 years of experience teaching Economics to students preparing for examinations, university study, and deeper understanding of financial and policy systems. I earned an M.A in Economic Development Studies, which provided strong grounding in global economic structures, policy evaluation, and the forces shaping modern societies. This academic background allows me to teach economics with both theoretical depth and real-world relevance.
My teaching style is supportive, structured, and focused on helping learners think independently. I enjoy guiding students step by step through economic models, ensuring they understand the reasoning behind graphs and theories rather than memorising definitions. I create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring ideas openly.
Outside tutoring, I stay engaged with economics through reading on global financial trends, development challenges, and modern policy debates. Teaching economics is meaningful to me because students often gain not only academic success, but also a deeper understanding of society. Supporting learners as they grow in confidence and critical thinking is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

Economics becomes much more engaging when students learn that it is the study of how societies make choices with limited resources. In my lessons, I guide learners through microeconomics, macroeconomics, supply and demand, inflation, unemployment, trade, and government policy with clear explanation and supportive discussion. I focus on helping students connect economic theories to real-world events, so that graphs, models, and written evaluations feel meaningful rather than abstract. Each session encourages critical thinking and builds confidence in applying economic reasoning.
Lessons are personalised to each learner’s level. Beginners build foundations in basic economic vocabulary, simple market diagrams, and introductory reasoning about scarcity and choice. Intermediate learners strengthen understanding of elasticity, production costs, fiscal and monetary policy, and macroeconomic indicators. Advanced students explore deeper topics such as development economics, international trade analysis, evaluation writing, and exam-level essay structure. Practice tasks and feedback are included in every lesson.
Economics lessons help students develop structured reasoning, critical thinking, and a clearer understanding of global systems. Over time, learners become confident discussing economic challenges with evidence and logic. My goal is to help students succeed academically while discovering economics as a powerful tool for understanding the world.
