About Ruby
My passion for economics began with curiosity about how societies function and how policies influence everyday life. Over nine years of teaching, I have helped students connect abstract concepts to practical scenarios, empowering them with analytical skills and confidence. Guiding learners to see the relevance of economics in real life has become one of the most rewarding aspects of my career. I adopt a structured, engaging, and personalized teaching style. Lessons are adapted to individual learning needs, blending theory, discussion, and application. I encourage exploration, questioning, and independent thinking, helping students develop both understanding and self-assurance. Mistakes are reframed as opportunities to learn, fostering resilience and critical thinking. Outside the classroom, I stay informed on economic research, market developments, and educational methods to provide students with current and practical insights. Economics is introduced as a subject that examines decision-making, resource allocation, and market dynamics in everyday life. My lessons focus on helping students understand both theory and practical application, encouraging them to think critically about the choices individuals, businesses, and governments make. Lessons are interactive and discussion-driven, creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable exploring concepts, asking questions, and connecting theory to real-world examples. By building comprehension through exploration, learners develop both analytical skills and confidence.
The teaching progression is designed to accommodate all levels. Beginners focus on fundamental principles such as scarcity, opportunity cost, supply and demand, and basic market structures. Intermediate learners explore elasticity, fiscal and monetary policies, and national income. Advanced students analyse international trade, development economics, and policy impacts.
