About Shravya
I hold an M.A. in Economics and have 10 years of experience helping students understand and appreciate the logic behind economic systems. My interest in economics began with a curiosity about how societies function—how markets operate, why policies matter, and what drives financial behavior at individual and national levels. Over the years, teaching this subject has become deeply rewarding as I witness students develop stronger analytical skills and a deeper curiosity about the world. My approach to teaching is calm, structured, and highly supportive. I focus on simplifying complex ideas without losing their depth, making sure students feel empowered to think critically. I adapt my lessons to match each individual’s pace, using real-life examples, practical reasoning, and diagrams to make learning more natural. I believe that when students see how economics connects to their daily lives, their motivation and understanding grow significantly. Beyond teaching, I stay engaged with current economic discussions, policy updates, research articles, and professional learning programs. I enjoy analyzing global trends, understanding behavioral economics, and exploring how economic ideas evolve with new data. Economics lessons start with a clear and approachable introduction to fundamental ideas such as scarcity, choices, opportunity cost, and economic systems. We explore how individuals, firms, and governments make decisions, using simple examples to help students connect theory with familiar real-life situations. This early phase helps learners build strong conceptual clarity and reduces the intimidation often associated with economic terminology.
As students develop confidence, we move deeper into microeconomics and macroeconomics. Topics include supply and demand, market structures, elasticity, national income, inflation, fiscal and monetary policy, and global trade. Lessons combine diagrams, real-world case studies, and structured explanation to help students reason through cause-and-effect relationships. I guide them through economic models step-by-step, encouraging logical thinking and clear interpretation of data.
In the final stage, students apply economic principles to contemporary issues such as market failures, government intervention, global economics, development challenges, and financial decision-making. We discuss how economics shapes industries, careers, and everyday life choices, giving students a broader and more practical perspective. By the end of the course, learners become more confident in reasoning through problems, analyzing scenarios, and using economic thinking in academic as well as real-world contexts.
