About Isla
My interest in economics began with a curiosity about how societies allocate resources and how policies impact daily life. Over nine years of teaching, I have guided students in understanding and applying economic principles to real-world situations. Helping learners connect theory with practice and gain analytical confidence is deeply rewarding. I prioritize clarity, structure, and engagement in my teaching. I adapt lessons to individual needs, using examples, case studies, and interactive exercises to make abstract concepts tangible. Students are encouraged to think critically, ask questions, and explore ideas independently, fostering both understanding and confidence. Outside of the classroom, I stay updated on economic research, market trends, and educational methods to enhance my teaching. I continuously refine my approach to provide the most effective guidance. Economics is not only a subject I teach — it is a lens through which students can better understand the world, and sharing that perspective is my greatest joy.

Economics is introduced as a subject that examines how choices, resources, and systems interact in real life. I focus on building students’ understanding of both theory and practical application, helping learners see the relevance of economic concepts in everyday decisions and global contexts. Lessons encourage critical thinking, discussion, and analysis, allowing students to actively explore supply and demand, market mechanisms, and policy impacts. The classroom environment is structured, supportive, and interactive, creating a safe space for questions and intellectual exploration.
The teaching approach is progressive and tailored to student level. Beginners cover basic principles such as scarcity, opportunity cost, and supply-demand interactions. Intermediate learners explore elasticity, market structures, fiscal and monetary policy, and national income. Advanced students examine international trade, development economics, and complex analytical models. Lessons integrate case studies, graphs, problem-solving exercises, and exam preparation to ensure clarity, application, and confidence in mastery.
