My classes give priority to speaking up and building the confidence of my students to actively participate in the discussions.
Theory - 20 min:
Classes start with a theoretical grammar or conjugation lesson lasting 20 min to learn a new concept of language with illustrations and simple exercises
Feedback - 20 min:
The pupils, before the lesson, receive a text on political or social news. They present a structured summary of the ideas of the text as well as a reflection on the subject of the text (20 min), this work requires preparation from 30 min to 1 hour before the session. You will be assisted in expressing your ideas, but the goal is for you to speak without being interrupted or corrected.
Conversation and debate of ideas - 20 min:
Depending on the format of the course (individual or in group), a problem related to the subject of the text is posed and the student is asked to express and argue its position in the face of contradictory positions. Associating personal convictions with learning is a motivating element that encourages my students to express themselves more and more freely as the sessions progress.
Points for improvement - 30 min:
During the restitution and the debate of ideas, you will be helped to express your ideas but you will be very little interrupted or corrected. I will take notes to identify the points to correct / improve and we discuss them at the end of the session in detail. We will talk about the point of improvement, the grammatical rule to respect, and we will discuss examples of application of this new rule learned together.
