About Chiara
I am a Kingston University graduate in English Language and Linguistics with English Literature who loves tutoring in English, and looks forward to becoming an English teacher in the future.
I have previously tutored native Italian speakers in English language, as well as some native English speakers in English literature. Moreover, I was promoted as Tutor Coordinator by the charity I was volunteering for, so I now have experience in managing other tutors. I am really enthusiastic about the English language (especially phonetics), and I believe I possess the right attributes to provide fun, fruitful and enriching tutoring sessions.

Usually, my lessons are organised in a way that allows the student to practice language listening, writing, reading and speaking skills. However, I always adapt my methodology to the individual student's needs, and focus on the student's area of interest. As a second-language learner of English, I have been through the process of foreign language learning, so I can empathise with my student's experience.
I love teaching English using interactive methods, such as conversation, games or movie clips, and I am highly receptive to the student's learning methodology preferences.

I manage Kingston Hub and run a programme called Schools Plus that is a London wide schools-based tutoring scheme. Chiara has volunteered with the scheme for two years now. In her first year she worked as an English tutor and in her second year she helped to run the scheme and support over 50 other volunteer tutors to who were taking part. Chiara has been a positive and enthusiastic tutor and I would recommend her for Superprof.
