About Maria
I have been giving lessons for the past two/three years. It all started with helping students in years below me, but now I also help mature students and adult learners.
The people I've helped (with the exception of the odd ones!) have generally achieved good results, especially in the English qualifications they were preparing for.

Hi there! I am a second year undergraduate student at Oxford University, reading English Language and Literature. I offer lessons in English as a foreign language to all those who would like to improve both their conversational and writing skills, doesn't matter if you are a beginner or an advanced learner.
I mostly tend to focus on the areas the learner feels he or she would like to improve, which means that in most cases different people will be helped using different approaches. I try to keep the learning process as fun and interactive as possible, so that it may appear as something to be enjoyed, rather than something to de dreaded or hated.
I must stress that I myself AM NOT an native English speaker, but I do not consider this a disadvantage, quite the opposite: it makes it a lot easier for me to understand what type of support each foreign learner needs.
