About Yvone
Hi! I'm Yvone, an English Language and Literature tutor based in Nairobi, Kenya, currently completing my Bachelor of Education Arts degree. I have a genuine passion for the English language and I love watching students grow in confidence — whether that's nailing an IGCSE exam, writing a killer essay or simply holding a conversation without hesitation.
I have experience teaching across multiple levels including IGCSE, KCSE and CBC both in school settings and privately. Beyond teaching, I speak four languages — which means I understand firsthand how challenging and rewarding learning a language can be.
My approach is patient, encouraging and always student-focused. I don't do one-size-fits-all lessons — every student I work with gets a session built around their goals, their pace and their personality.

About My Lessons
My lessons are engaging, interactive and fully tailored to each student. I use Communicative Language Teaching and Task-Based Learning to make English feel relevant and enjoyable — not like a chore. Sessions typically run 60 to 90 minutes, with shorter 45-minute options for younger learners.
Qualifications & Experience
I am completing a Bachelor of Education Arts in English and Literature (graduating 2027). I have hands-on experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE English Language and Literature, KCSE, and CBC, through both school attachment and private tutoring. I speak four languages — English and Swahili natively, with Italian and French conversationally.
