About Vaishali
I am currently teaching in a very reputed school in Delhi, NCR. I have done my Bachelors in English from Hindu College, DU. Then I went onto Amity University for my B.Ed. and currently I am enrolled in Jamia for my Masters in ENglish. Teaching language is the only thing that I know.

Language as an academic subject is generally considered to be an art. It is subjective,
we can use it in different ways when communicating with different people. We can use
it to paint pictures and arouse feelings. It allows one to be creative. Therefore, I look at
language teaching as an art which requires practice and hands-on experience for
excelling.
The status of language in the Indian context is relatively poor if contrasted with other
countries. No matter how deeply I think, the only reason I can provide for this problem
is people not realizing the ‘importance’ of language. Now that English is an official
language, a language that holds status and an international linkage, it is time that
learners realize the importance of it from the very beginning. My teaching philosophy
and strategies revolve around the above-mentioned dogma. My teachings focus on
both: Content and Achievement but more so on relevance and importance of English as
a secondary language. My course assignments and classroom activities stress individual
thought. For example: To be teaching writing to students, let's say, Note Making in
particular. The intention/objective is to make the students realize the importance of
proper note-taking and note-making and making use of it in day-to-day life rather than
just teaching it as a part of writing skills alone. My philosophy is that if a student is able
to realize the use of these skills the motivation will become intrinsic and more practical.
