About Mehmet Onur
I graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Department of History. I have been reading novels in English since my high school period. During my undergraduate semester, I translated and taught private lessons to psychology and art history students. I am doing a Master's Degree with Thesis in the field of General Turkish History at Istanbul University and at the same time I am studying Chinese. I have 95 points from Istanbul University Erasmus exam and 95 from 2018 YÖKDİL exam. At the same time, I took part in important events such as MUSIAD and Antalya 2015 G20 summit to communicate with foreigners and help them. Besides, since I took a course in Latin during my undergraduate period, I am also interested in the origins and historical development of English. I can provide my students with information about where and how the words come from.

I fall on being able to think in that language, which I think is the key to learning a language. It is important to be able to speak in that language, to grasp the logic of that language, and to practice by learning rather than memorizing grammar. Therefore, I attach importance to spoken language as much as written language and I try to teach them. I attach importance to the key points of sentences and concepts. In terms of written language, I make sure that my students give importance to terminology related to their field. Terminology is important in both written and spoken language. For this reason, as the written language will focus on the areas of interest / need in spoken language, the lessons will remain interesting. The texts I will find and process will be either the student's field of interest or the field they need. Likewise, the topics to be discussed are based on areas of interest, and I prepare in advance on this subject. This will strengthen the enthusiasm for learning. My knowledge of Latin is that I am currently learning Chinese actively, and the Russian education I have previously received gives perspective to different languages, so I know how to learn a language, and especially the basic grammar of Latin has enabled me to look deeper into English. I can teach groups or individuals of all ages.
