About Gustavo Adolfo
I am Gustavo Mugica, an English teacher with over 12 years of experience in language schools and private tutoring. I hold degrees in Social Sciences from the University of São Paulo (USP) and Advertising from ESPM. I’m also a musician and songwriter, with a strong interest in culture, philosophy, and learning new things.
What motivates me to teach is helping people expand their opportunities: joining a conversation, making the most of a trip, accessing new knowledge, or pursuing a professional goal. I enjoy explaining things, answering questions, and seeing that moment when something that once seemed difficult begins to make sense.
My experience with students from different backgrounds has reinforced the importance of listening and adapting my teaching to each person. I take the time to understand your interests and challenges so we can create a learning environment where you feel comfortable asking questions, practicing, and making progress.

My lessons are tailored to your level, goals, and interests —whether you want to travel, work, study, or feel more confident in conversation.
We practice conversation from the very beginning, with support suited to your level. I use guided questions, sentence-building activities, and everyday situations to help you practice vocabulary and grammar in contexts that are meaningful to you. We also work on pronunciation, listening, reading, and writing according to your needs.
I create my own materials and adapt activities to your learning pace. We revisit what you have learned throughout our lessons, with further opportunities for practice, corrections, and clear explanations to reinforce your learning.
You can ask questions, make mistakes, and try again without pressure. I pay attention to the areas you find challenging and adjust the lessons to help you build a solid foundation and become more independent in your use of English.
