About Kelsey

I’ve spent the majority of my adult life chasing the life I thought I “should” have. From a young age, I always knew I wanted to help the world. I would collect my tooth fairy money to donate to kids in need. I would find spiders in the house and bring them outside to safety.

In college, I started my major in Child and Family studies, thinking maybe this was my opportunity to make a difference. As I grew older and my perceptions and experiences start to weigh in on my decision making, my path was quickly altered. I was focused on career progression, promotions and 401k savings. I was comfortable and had a "dream" job. So why was I still suffering?

I was chasing a life I thought I was supposed to have, not authentically living my truth. I’ve always been passionate about fitness, but it’s when I started my yoga practice that my entire life changed. I learned to practice compassionate self-forgiveness, and to forgive myself for buying into the belief that I was not worthy of living my authentic truth. I forgave myself for buying into the belief that I needed to have the best job, the best house, the best clothes to be happy. I learned that I am a divine being in a human experience and all of these “shoulds” and “should nots” were just my ego causing me to suffer.

I look at the world differently now. I try to see each circumstance from a place of compassion, rather than judgement. Yoga found me, and it has changed my life. I feel it is my dharma to bring this gift to others.

About the lesson

I take the time to get to know each student, your goals and desires. We start by checking in. First physically, theen mentally, then emotionally and then spiritually. Together we will create a practice unique to you, which is exactly how yoga is meant to be practiced!
