About James
I am an educator and regulatory compliance professional with more than 30 years experience in the public school system, public universities, municipal organizations and private/business sector enterprises. My students have numbered in the thousands over the course of my career and I have authored hundreds of technical reports on environmental issues/remediation, many of which I have presented in person to U.S. EPA District V in Chicago, Illinois and to the Ministry of the Environmental (MOE) in Toronto, Canada.

My lessons/training sessions are always constructed with my intended audience in mind. Students of various ages and backgrounds learn and respond to stimuli in different ways. My first task is to determine what mix of verbal, visual, auditory or other approaches to subject matter are most likely to succeed in specific instructional situations. Over time, every effective educator, regardless of subject matter, learns to apply what works and what doesn't in an instructional setting. Being effective in the classroom only comes with long-term experience.

Details
Travel cost is set at $.50 per outgoing miles (e.g to instruction site located within 30 mile radius of home location). This rate is slightly less than the current federal mileage reimbursement rate of $.58 per mile. All outgoing miles in excess of the 30 mile radius will be charged at $.50 per mile. There is currently no charge for return mileage as long as instruction site is within 30 mile radius of home location.
