About Jacob
I have been teaching ESL for 8 years. I started teaching in South Korea. After 3 and a half years I moved to Shanghai, China. I taught ESL and Art. Once back in the USA I began teaching children and adults. I am always one of the most liked teachers in the programs and see improvements in students and their desire to learn.

I have a Bachelor's of Science from University of California, Davis, UCD. I graduated in 2006.
I have also completed a teaching credential program at California State University of Long Beach, CSULB. I completed the program spring of last year.
I teach ESL lessons for all levels. I can help you with Grammar, listening comprehension, reading comprehension, essay and creative writing, and accent reduction. I have worked with all levels and ages.
My lessons are adapted to your goals. Do you want to become more fluent? We can work on that. Do you need to be better understood at work? we can focus on that.
I expect my students to do their best and not give help. Students need to understand that sometimes progress is slow but if the keep working they will get better.
