About Nancy
I love my job!!! I've worked with students who have no English at all and also with refugees who have the basics but are trying to learn more in order to get a job. I am creative and funny. I love to get to know YOU through our lessons so that we talk about the things that you care about. A student recently told me that she finds our lessons fun and entertaining. I want to make you laugh. I want to make you comfortable with your mistakes. And I want to make you feel like you are succeeding and making progress.

I begin with a placement assessment so that I know what level of English you speak.
Then I create a personal lesson plan that is unique for you.
We meet online for 1 hour sessions. The number of lessons per week is up to you.
I am personal and funny so that you enjoy our time together.
Lessons are for any level of English and any age. We can focus on listening, speaking, writing and/or reading.
A lesson begins with introducing the vocabulary and grammar that we are going to learn that day.
Then I get you to do some exercises with various pictures, fill-in-the-blank sentences, reading and speaking.
We will have a conversation with each other to practice what you are learning. We will also incorporate typing and writing as well so that you learn the spelling of words.
Near the end of the lesson, we will review what we learned and then I will give you some homework.
I will also personally create a vocabulary sheet for you to work on, based on words you struggled with in that particular lesson.
I am available through email 24/7.
As you learn formal English, I will also make sure to teach you how native English speakers say things so that you understand slang in conversation.
I like to also send you on creative assignments in order to remember what you learned.
