About Michael

Collaboration and sharing ideas is at the core of performance. Everything we learn in the rehearsal process is what we bring to the stage or screen.

As an actor and theatre practitioner for 30 years I am keen to share my experience with students of all levels.

My own training at The Firkin Crane theatre in Cork City Ireland and subsequently Inchicore College Dublin was the beginning of my journey.

I am a company member of the Irish Repertory theatre NYC2 time winner of "Best Actor", Origin Theatre Company 1st Irish Festival and have worked extensively in theatre, TV and also in Performance Capture as Seán MacGuire in Rockstar Games hit "Red Dead Redemption 2". I currently work as Artistic Director of Origin Theatre Company.

Meeting and working with new artists of all experiences is at the heart of my passion for theatre.

I have worked with actors on auditioning for roles casually with some great success for a number of years. Recently I've worked with high school student over zoom.

I trained for 4 years in drama school in Ireland and graduated with an associate degree in performing arts. I also have 30 years of professional experience in theatre, television, performance capture and voice over work.

About the lesson

Every actor has a personal journey that allows them to unlock the character within. My job is to help the actor find the right key to unlock that character.

I've worked with high school students to actors in their 70s.
