About William
My name is William, and I am a classically trained pianist with over ten years’ experience, having taught students of all ages and abilities (including individuals with special needs and learning disabilities). I have a background in performance and graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree (2:1), from the University of Huddersfield, before completing a Master’s award in Music and Society, from Leeds Beckett University. During this time, I also continued with my teaching, whilst performing in numerous venues as a solo and group artist. I am, therefore, passionate about music generally, but particularly motivated to use my experience and skills to teach others the art of playing the piano to a high standard. Furthermore, I am a personable, hardworking and dedicated teacher who will individualise my teaching approach to bring out the best in every student, and will seek to inspire all my pupils to play piano, to the best of their abilities.

I teach classical music through the syllabus of ABRSM covering technique, sight reading and aural skills. I make sure I focus on each individual student by assessing their needs and making sure I tailor my teaching programme specifically to them.
