About Becca

Hello! I am a professional dancer and dance instructor who recently moved to the area from San Diego. I obtained my BFA in dance from CSULB in 2015 and am currently dancing with Nickerson-Rossi Dance company and Kevin Jenkins (Ballet Counterpointe). Additionally, I am a current faculty member at Palm Springs Dance Academy and previous faculty member at Scripps Performing Arts Academy in San Diego.

I grew up in Northern California and began teaching around 17. I have been teaching for 20 years now and doing private lessons for most of my career. I can confidently say that private lessons are the area of my job that I find most fulfilling. I love getting to know my students personally and seeing their growth inspires me to continue growing myself as well. As a current professional dancer in the field who also has an extensive background in education, I bring experience, knowledge and perspective to each lesson.

Along with teaching, I also have a background in choreography. My work has been presented across the globe at Royan Festival of France and has taken first place at the Palm Desert Choreography Festival.

As stated in the title, I specialize in ballet, pointe, modern, contemporary and jazz, however, I also have experience teaching tap at beginner/intermediate levels, and have experience teaching all ages from 3 up to 73!

Please reach out if you have any questions and I truly look forward to working with you!

I would prefer our first lesson to happen over webcam for safety reasons, and I will start the lesson by getting to know you and asking questions about your goals. Depending on which style of dance you would like to work on, each lesson will look a little different. However, regardless of the style, I will take a personalized approach and create dedicated lesson plans just for your needs. Since I am not with my students 24/7, part of my responsibility as a teacher is making sure I give them the tools and confidence they need to excel outside of our dedicated lesson times. I facilitate that by providing resources and information on personalized exercises they can be doing outside of our time together. My goal is to create a supportive, engaging environment where you can grow as a dancer and feel proud of your progress.
