About Kang

With over 10 years of dedicated experience in guitar performance and teaching, I am passionate about helping students unlock their musical potential. My background as a band leader and guitar accompanist in various live performances ensures I bring practical, real-world skills to every lesson. I am committed to creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students of all ages and skill levels can build confidence and achieve their musical goals. Precision, patience, and personalized guidance are the cornerstones of my teaching philosophy.

About the lesson

My Approach to Tutoring and Teaching Methodology

I believe learning guitar should be enjoyable and motivating. My teaching focuses on building a strong foundation in basic pop guitar techniques, including chords, strumming patterns, and fingerstyle. I use a step-by-step approach, combining practical playing with simple music theory to help students understand what they play.

Each lesson typically lasts 30 minutes, allowing enough time for warm-up, new material, practice, and review. I tailor the pace and content based on each student’s age, level, and goals to ensure steady progress.

With over a decade of experience playing guitar and teaching beginners in both church and community settings, I am comfortable working with students of all ages—especially beginners and intermediate learners who want to play popular music confidently.
