About Bosco

Mr. Bosco (Melvin) Beh has worked in various industries including construction, logistics, sports and entertainment, information technology and venture capital investment – including investments in high technology manufacturing / hotel / telecommunication / food and beverage / property management and property investment, retailing, manufacturing, consulting and outsourcing; and education industry.

He has more than 25 years of international industrial and practical experience in financial reporting, management accounting, internal control, policies and standard operation procedures (“SOPs”) development, budget preparation and budgetary control, quality control, financial analysis, business modeling, tax planning, project management, operational management and education management. In addition, he is experienced in strategic management and strategies development with international exposure in International Taxation, International Accounting Standards and General Acceptable Accounting Standards.

Formerly, Bosco was working as Chief Operating Officer, HICOM University College Sdn. Bhd., and Deputy Vice Chancellor, Administration and Operation, DRB-HICOM University of Automotive Malaysia; with track records between August 2015 to October 2016 of 30% increase in sales volume, 64% increase in sales revenue, 5% reduced in operation costs, 150% increase in new programmes developed and approved by Malaysia Qualification Agency (MQA) and Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia (MOHE) and over 30 new programmes in various stages of approval by MQA and/or MOHE. In term of business development, local and international student recruitment agents have been increased from 3 agents to more than 25 agents and university collaboration partners, industrial collaboration partners, foundation/scholarship collaboration partners and professional collaboration partners have been increased by three folds.

He was one of the Co-Founders and Directors of iStudy Hub (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd., incorporated in February 2012 and pioneer Project Director of GRC Pte. Ltd., Singapore, incorporated in October 2014. From 2008 until 2012, he was an adjunct lecturer with various educational institutions in Hong Kong with collaborations from reputable universities from United Kingdom and Australia. He was also being the School Principle for Thames College, Course Director and Head of Academic Affairs with Informatics Education Hong Kong Ltd. He has taught diplomas, undergraduate and postgraduate business courses accredited by Thames College, Informatics College (Singapore), YMCA (Hong Kong), the University of Portsmouth (UK), the University of West London (UK), and the University of Southern Queensland (Australia), etc. He has also supervised dissertations at the undergraduate level for the University of Portsmouth (UK) and University of Southern Queensland, Australia.

Believing in continuous improvement and learning. He is in the midst of preparing for PhD study proposal and look forward to study in 2022 either with Universiti Malaya or Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.

About the lesson

Accounting and Finance are both calculation subjects of which theoretical understanding is the fundamental requirement before any calculation on related subject to be done.

Every topic of these subjects will start with explanation to foster understanding of students on theories with practical industry applications. This will be followed up with practical calculation questions then to share with students on solutions of related questions with appropriate workings and steps for calculation.

Average each session will between 2 hours to 3 hours depend on the coverage of each topic required.
