About Kevin
I am a CELTA-trained native-speaking teacher of English as a foreign language, having taught in Madrid since January 2016. I spent almost twenty years holding a number of positions of responsibility, including project manager and program manager, and established great trust with my employers. I have always tried to maintain high personal standards in my work. All the roles required a high level of interpersonal skills and a positive, motivational attitude. In addition, they require strong organization, presentation and communication skills, involving the explanation of novel and often difficult concepts at team and board meetings, as well as in other contexts. I acquired additional skills specific to English language teaching while attending the CELTA course at Chester School of English in Madrid. Since completing the CELTA, I have been working with a professional language academy in Madrid. I teach in a number of settings, including classroom, meeting room and at the desk, both in group and one-to-one teaching environments. I teach all levels from Beginner to Proficiency. I also have experience of teaching individuals, both at work and in their homes, with a variety of learning objectives from general improvement to preparation for specific events. I am very enthusiastic about working with students to help them achieve their goals, and enjoy sharing the language with others.

Two years experience of living in Madrid and teaching English in companies with a professional academy. I teach all levels from beginner to expert. Formats include taught classes and conversation, preparation for business events, interviews, meetings and presentations. General and Business English. Locations include: at your house, at your business, in my apartment or in a cafeteria. Based in the center of Madrid, but will consider anywhere in Madrid.
