ONLINE PIANO LESSONS

Hello Friends! I have been teaching piano for over 25 years. I am presently taking students for virtual piano lessons. Being virtual means I can teach you from almost anywhere. Lessons can be done over the computer or cell phone and are still very rewarding and fun as in person. I teach on Google Meet which I feel is a successful platform. Audio and visual is cflear for both student and myself.

Rates: 30 minute lesson $35, 45 minute lesson $50, 60 minute lesson $65.

My students range in age from 5 to 80+, beginners through intermediate level. However, most of my current students are adults who always wanted to learn piano or those who want to brush up their technique.

I concentrate on correct piano technique, reading music, performance, sight-reading, knowledge of theory and musical history for students of all levels. My teaching style is flexible and fundamental teaching philosophy is to identify and develop the unique strengths of each student and nurture a love and understanding of music based on his or her innate abilities. No one teaching approach satisfies the unique musical and personal style of a given student. Hence, there are many to choose.

I also teach those students who are interested or are presently studying for ABRSM testing.

I love what I do, teaching piano. Ask any of my students, they will tell you that we have wonderful, exciting educational lessons. I love to build up the confidence of people of all ages and guide them with their knowledge of playing the piano. Their studies are enhanced each week with new lessons of knowledge for the keys.

My neighbor asked me to teach their son and that was over 25 years ago. I auditioned at the local music studio, Studio 46 Music Center, Hackettstown, NJ and began teaching there in 1991. I have also taught for 7 years in Ashville, NC when I resided there and for the past 10 years I am back in Jersey teaching here.

I have taught students from 4 - 84+ years of age, from beginners to advanced knowledge. Some students joined bands, majored in music in college and some have even became piano teachers themselves.

Be eager to learn with an open mind knowing that you CAN learn to play piano.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
You want to find out what time is available for your lesson, let the teacher know what your goals are in learning the piano. What kind of piano or keyboard to use for practice and play. What they can afford for tuition. What method books will you be using.
