About Seleena

Hello! I'm a passionate and dedicated Special Education teacher with over 7 years of teaching experience, working with both mainstream and children with special educational needs. Throughout my career, I have supported students with dyslexia, ADHD, autism, speech and language delays, and other learning challenges, helping them gain confidence and achieve meaningful academic progress.

I believe that every child is capable of learning when given the right support, patience, and teaching approach. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all method, I carefully tailor each lesson to suit each student's strengths, needs, and learning pace. My lessons are engaging, structured, and designed to make learning enjoyable while building confidence and independence.

Parents appreciate my calm, patient, and encouraging teaching style, as well as the regular progress updates I provide after lessons. I value open communication with families and work closely with parents to ensure each child receives the support they need both during lessons and at home.

About the lesson

I am a dedicated Special Education teacher with over 7 years of experience working with preschool and primary school students, including children with dyslexia, ADHD, autism, global developmental delay, and other learning needs. My goal is to create a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment where every child can build confidence and reach their full potential.

I believe that every child learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to suit the student's learning style, pace, and abilities. My teaching approach combines hands-on activities, visual supports, games, structured practice, and positive reinforcement to keep students motivated while helping them develop strong academic and functional skills. I also focus on building confidence, independence, and a genuine love for learning rather than simply memorizing facts.

For mainstream students, I provide support in English, Mathematics, Science, reading, phonics, homework guidance, and exam preparation. For students with special educational needs, I develop personalized learning plans that target literacy, numeracy, communication, attention, executive functioning, and daily learning skills.

A typical lesson lasts **60 to 90 minutes**, depending on the student's age, attention span, and learning goals. Each session includes a review of previous concepts, explicit teaching of new skills, guided practice, engaging activities, and regular feedback. Parents also receive updates on their child's progress and recommendations for continued practice at home.

My lessons are suitable for:

* Preschool children (ages 3–6)
* Primary school students (Years 1–6)
* Children with dyslexia and other learning difficulties
* Students requiring additional academic support, homework assistance, or learning intervention

With my background in Special Education and experience designing individualized learning programs, I strive to help every student develop confidence, improve academically, and enjoy the learning process.
