I like to get to know my students first and foremost. Our initial evaluation contact could be via Skype (or email) where I would run through a standard questionnaire assessing your current skill level and needs for the class. From there we will build out a syllabus/model catered to your needs to work through.
My main students include:
1) College Students
2) High School Students
3) Professional working actors
4) Graduate actors
Do thorough research on the individual on the web.
Read the reviews of previous students
Ask plenty of questions to learn about the individual and to make sure that you two connect well. Acting is all about connection, you're entering into your most vulnerable states of being and want to feel safe with the individual coaching you.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What is your acting experience? (productions, classes, etc.)
What are your strong talents?
Where are your weaknesses?
What are they hoping to achieve by the end of the class?
What type of teaching style do they respond to well?

Kyvon Edwin is such a great teacher! He listens carefully and is patient with teaching. He is super creative and attentive. Really recommend taking him as a teacher!
Kyvon is highly knowledgeable in his craft. He helped me self-tape for my first big audition. He not only helped with the technical aspects during the taping (lighting, angle, proper slating), he pushed my performance and helped me to bring it to another level. He even helped me edit it before sending. In the end, the tape I sent in was of a high caliber and I'm so very pleased and grateful.
Kyvon is super approachable and helpful! He gave me a bunch of tips on how to improve my self tape game. Thank you so much!!!
