My private sessions are 100% customized to each client’s goals/intentions. We’ll have a pre-session chat about what you’d like to get out our time together. Classes are held at parks, gyms, community centers, or studios. Mats and props provided.
A sample class may look like:
-Intro and greeting
-Pranayama (5-10 min) - Guided breathing exercises to establish breath awareness and increase lung capacity.
-Gentle stretches & warmup (5-10 min) - Mindful light stretching to establish the connection between the body and breath.
-Vinyasa flow (5 min) - Sun salutations to encourage getting out of the mind and into the body.
-Individual asana (yoga pose) practice and assessment (25-35 min) - Personalized instruction and one-to-one guidance, including proper anatomical alignment, deepening the stretch, exploring modifications, and other client focuses. Provided props may include blocks, blankets, straps, and chairs.
-Final stretching / Pranayama (10-15 min) - Floor stretches to wind down and seal the practice.
- Meditation / Savasana (10-15 min) - This may include a guided meditation, including light deepening adjustments, aromatherapy, Reiki (I am Reiki Level 1 Certified), sound healing, and/or chanting. Each session ends with corpse pose/Savasana.
