About Mackenzie

I am a 500 hour certified yoga instructor (yoga alliance) and I teach weekly classes, regular workshops, faciliatate teacher trainings (both 200 and 500 hour), lead international retreats, and teach private clients. My approach to yoga is from the belief that every being can benefit from yoga. My goal is to personalize the practice to suit your needs and goals. I'm trained in power yoga, vinyasa, restorative, traditional hot, yoga nidra, meditation, life coaching, and senior yoga. I'm available and eager to teach any format in group or private settings.

My undergraduate degree is in Exercise Physiology so I am familiar with a wide range of exercise techniques as well as with personalizing curriculum based on the client. If you're wanting or willing to travel, I have an Aerial Yoga swing for private lessons in my home. I'm currently obtaining my Graduate degree in Consciousness and integrate my knowledge of the human body with what I'm learning about integral wellness of heart, body, mind, and spirit.

A minimalist at heart with a passion for connection, I thrive on connecting personally with my students. I enjoy the feeling of reminding individuals of their personal power and helping to sharpen the tools that you already possess to attain any goal. I embrace aspects of both movement and stillness. While I'm highly active, I see and feel the benefit of slowing things down and thrive with a regular meditation practice.

About the lesson

We'll start by establishing your goals and stylistic preference. Additionally, we'll go over your history with yoga and/or injuries/limitations. I integrate life coaching into my private classes in a non-invasive way: I want to connect personally with you, first and foremost.

I've worked with a diverse variety of clients in group and personal settings. Men and women between the ages of 16-90 as well as a few kid's classes. I cater to special populations including clients with fibromayalgia, acute illness (broken bones, etc.), terminal cancer, children with ADHD, the senior population, and more. I specialize in working with athletes who want to improve their field of practice.

Pricing will depend on travel:it will cost more if I come to you. My standard private rates start at $80/hour for a 5 class session. I am willing to work with you, so please reach out even if this seems out of your price range.
