About Gretchen
I come from a compassionate and empathetic place in my teaching. I am a caregiver by nature and by trade and that translates well to holding space for others. I love helping people to tune in to their bodies and become more familiar with their own movement in space and time. My passion is in seeking balance and self-knowledge through asana, meditation, and self-care (through food and routine)!
I have been practicing yoga since 2009 and completed a 200 hour teacher training program in 2015. I have taught on and off since, continuing to work full time and deepen my practice on my own and with the help of my teachers.
I am currently training to become an Ayurvedic Lifestyle Coach also, and find my personal nutrition and wellness practices to be highly influenced by Ayurveda.
You can find me studying, practicing, working, or cuddling my cats on any given day. At least once a week I like to get lost in nature.

I love connecting with new people and sharing my excitement for yoga and all the things that come with a consistent practice with them. I love helping people appreciate a practice that is entirely about the journey and not at all the destination.

I like to briefly get to know you and what you are hoping to get out of working with me to see if we are a good fit. For our first session, you can expect to establish a bit of a baseline and start with some pretty basic movement awareness practices, potentially a few poses depending on the individual. We will build from there at your pace.
