About Azure

A yoga lesson with me involves discussion of what you wish to get out of the class. Through answering a series of questions we will determine goals for the current session as well as follow up sessions.

These goals can be:

- physical practice (i.e. I'd like to improve hamstring flexibility or strengthen my shoulders)

- mental/emotional state (i.e. I'd like a strategy for the days I cannot find motivation to show up at work)

- related to another area of your life (i.e. I am building up to run a marathon, and I need a sequence to aid in that training, I am working towards a professional development).

Using mindfulness and meditation, physical asana/posture practice, and written progress reports we will move through your practice.

An introductory set of lessons will personalize sequences to strengthen your balance, focus, strength, and more.

Alternatively, we can work to build a sequence of asana/poses tailored to your needs and aid you in memorizing it for your home practice when a teacher is not available.

I am certified at the 200 hour level as well as a certified Children's Yoga instructor. (concealed information)

Yoga is a field where the more you learn, the more aware you become of how little you know. I love that as a yoga teacher, I'll never be done learning.

I have been practicing yoga since I was a child, and continued because I loved feeling strong, independent, and creative. I started teaching as a way to further my understanding of the practice and immerse myself in a practice that has been a part of my life for over 15 years in a meaningful way.

200 hour teacher training at Awakened Yoga Studio in Vinyasa, Power Flow.

95 hour children's yoga teacher training with Bent On Learning for students aged pre-k to 18.

About the lesson

I prefer for the first session to be 90 minutes, enough time for a discussion of any particular needs, goals, or accomodations that you, as a student, may require. Followed by a short series of yoga poses, tailored to your needs. We will complete the session with a brief relaxation or mindfulness practice.

Based on student goals, I may share resources tailored to their personal practice or set up a lesson plan for our upcoming scheduled sessions.

Beginners, children, students who have practiced for years, athletes, actors and artists.

Communication is your most valuable asset -- this class is YOUR class, your teacher is there to facilitate and guide you. Don't feel that you are at the mercy of the instructor. I will provide structure and plan our classes, but you will help me to make it comfortable, exciting, and meaningful to YOU.

Details

New Student Discount is a deal of $75 for 90 minutes.

$60 per 1 hour class if 8 classes are scheduled at a time

$65 per 1 hour class if 4 classes are scheduled at a time

$75 per 1 hour class to schedule one at a time

Cancellation policy:

No fee if notice of 1 week is given for cancellation.

50% fee if class is cancelled between 1 week and up to 24 hours before class.

Full charge if class is cancelled less than 24 hours in advance.
