About Yvette
I teach yoga to assist people in their reconnection with the joy of movement and to cultivate a safe environment to find peace in stillness as they break from the ongoing flows of daily life. The yoga poses are designed to stretch, lengthen, and open our bodies up, in turn allowing our bodies to be more able to adapt to various forms of activities. The intentionality of yoga invites the idea of being present, calming a busy mind down and finding rest.
The greatest joy for me is to witness the growth of a student. To observe someone surrender into the process of yoga is a true gift. I am only here to provide the means of which someone must put the actual work into. Sure everyone wants to touch their toes (and that happens quite often with time and cultivation) but the benefits of yoga are far deeper than phyical flexibility.

We begin with a discussion of the ultimate goal of why they chose yoga. Why did they choose a private session over group lesson? There is a great beauty in a solo class, so let's get the most out of it! With these answers, we can begin to collaborate on a plan of action. I will provide a custom-taylored yoga practice for them. Once class begins, the student gets my 100% attention. This means avid individual attention to unique anatomical cues, breath work, and assistence in gaining depth into the poses and meditative aspects of the practice.
