About Michelle

I offer new yogis and yogis looking to deepen their practice affordable one on one private classes from my home. Working with me includes unlimited coaching via phone and email. Right now I am only working with individuals for one on one private sessions in my home but if you live in Point Pleasant Beach or Manasquan, I am happy to travel to you.

Introducing a new yogi to the practice and inspiring seasoned yogis to get "back on the mat" is the greatest reward. Watching someone grow in their practice means the world to me.

I was so stressed from my job and wanted to deepen my personal practice. Yoga is a gift!

200 hour RYT and 75 hour Yin certification

About the lesson

I like to start with a complimentary consultation to understand what the student needs and wants from their practice. We work together to devise a sequence we can build on during their sessions with me. The goal is to have the student feel confident with a daily practice!

I am available to my students as often as they need me for coaching - whether via phone or email when we are not meeting for session - to help them achieve their goals.

I also make recommendations just in case we can't connect due to logistic reasons. We are so fortunate to live in an area where there are many gifted teachers to work with - either individually or in a studio as a group. One of my goals is to make yoga affordable - there are so many options now.

New and seasoned

Find someone who listens to you and understands what you want and need. Your practice needs to be tailored to you. It will grow and change but don't let anyone push you into something you don't want!

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Think about how much time you are willing to realistically dedicate to your practice. We tend to think big - "I want to practice every day for an hour"- and then life gets in the way and we give up. I want my students to look forward to their practice, not dread it. If that means an hour once a week and then 15 - 20 minutes a day at home, that's great! Ask the teacher - if I can only do X, does that work for us both?

Students should also ask the teacher what the pricing includes - is it just the hour or so long private? Can I reach out to you with questions or for additional coaching - is that included?

Compare pricing - ask the teacher - I saw a quote for X but you charge Y, can we negotiate?

I work with what the student feels they can afford. I will provide a base price quote but it's always negotiable. I don't like to turn anyone away because of pricing - we can come up with a mutually beneficial solution.
