About Chris
I've been practising yoga since 2008 in a variety of contemporary styles and teaching since 2015, completing a 500hr program through my teachers in Sydney, Australia. I do not teach powerful, competitive or progress-focused yoga such as Ashtanga or Bikram; I teach yoga at a level suitable for the the student's aspirations, when those aspirations are genuine, permanent self- betterment. My main teacher spent 25yrs in India with a focus on pranayama and safe physical practice. I'm inspired to share what I've learned because it has brought so much to my own life and I see yoga bringing benefits to others too. Time to give back to the community that has helped me along so much.

Yoga to me is a method of creating the right conditions for stillness, after which connection with the divine, god, universal consciousness (or whatever name you would like to give it) becomes much easier. I am comfortable teaching beginners or advanced students. My approach is very adaptable as I have practised in various schools and contemporary styles and spent much of my time in svadhyaya to further my own knowledge. I am very compassionate to a student's current place in yoga and like to teach with a spirit of enquiry and investigation while being safe and steady.
We will start with your experience, aspirations and goals and spend our sessions accordingly. I am happy to guide or to follow your goals.
