I am a documentary filmmaker and focus on personal narratives. I speak 3 languages and grew up bilingual. How will our lessons be?
- We will talk a lot, work on your conversation and vocabulary, correct your mistakes, give you better expressions to use and we will have a lot of fun! And you will speak English much more confidently in no time!
I use a mix of interactive conversation that centres around topics of interest of my student, reading comprehension through texts that also centre around the interests of my student, and assignments that are creative, like the construction of dialogues of situations that my student may encounter in the language that they are learning (renting accommodation, ordering food, setting up certain accounts, etc). I like to teach practical vocabulary, and use really focus on play. I build a vocabulary depository for my student, adding any new words, and quiz my student on this depository regularly and repetitively.
